ABOUT
Take a bunch of violin melodies and layer them carefully. Add a handful of synthesizers, drum
machines, and organic field recordings. Stir well. Take reverb and delay. Season with improvisation to taste. Now close your eyes and enjoy. And even though this sounds like the perfect recipe to my sound, you will never get the same result twice.
The roots of All Reitz Reserved go way back to the early 2010s, when I started performing improvised solo shows with my electric violin, a handful of effects, and a loop station. It was in those early years that I developed an interest in electronic music and eventually started diving into songwriting and music production. Lately, my daily work alternates between creating and performing my own compositions, embracing the endless possibilities of modern computer technology and the limitations of hardware synthesizers and drum machines alike.
In April 2023 I presented ELEMENTAL - an all-new audiovisual live show and performance mirroring the scenic impressions gathered while traveling the wild natural landscapes of Iceland in
2022. The sold-out performance was orchestrated with the help of videographer Sam Flammang and video mapping artist Melting Pol. Following the live performance, a series of singles is set to be released over the course of the year.
My musical influences vary from the roots of ambient and electronic music to moody electronica and downtempo as well as melodic house and techno. Being a sucker for dreamy and colorful soundscapes, I use real-world textures and ambiances to give my works a pictorial connotation, effectively combining synthetic and organic sounds alike. I am convinced that live music should be given space to breathe, grow and evolve, improvisation is a key factor for my live performances, allowing me to interact and connect with my audiences.
Born in 1992, I grew up in a musical environment with my father being a luthier. After graduating in mass communication and political science, I followed my heart and became a full-time musician in 2017. I released his first record by the end of the same year and switched my focus on building a reputation as a performing artist, playing festivals, intimate shows and multidisciplinary art performances in Luxembourg and the Greater Region. In the spirit of combining synthetic and organic material, I am always striving to expand my musical universe.
I am not shying away from allowing other art forms such as literature, dance, or audiovisual arts to collide with my world, creating immersive and ever-changing experiences. As of 2022, I have found a home within the Bâtiment IV - Tiers Lieu Culturel Structure in Esch, where I am working as a permanent member of the collective.
Among my many compositions, KLOK, written for Serj Tankian’s 7 notes challenge, reached the Top 100 among 2000+ submissions. In addition to my solo project, I am also a driving force of folk/new country outfit Zero Point Five (LU).
